Amazing!
Before buying this laptop I had bought one from Gateway and it gave
me so many problems that I couldn't stand it. I returned it to the
store and my only other option for the same price was this laptop. I
absolutely love it! Its 100x sturdier than the Gateway and much better
looking with its lightup "HP" symbol and cool design. Also, the
performance is just as good.

-ports (HDMI, eSATA, VGA, USB)
-comes with a remote
-battery life (over 2 hours of heavy use)
CONS
-runs hot
-seems to be a little buggy (video card driver crashes every once
in a while but recovers itself after a few seconds. Reinstalling driver
didn't fix the problem)
-there is no program that comes with the computer or from HP that
allows the webcam settings to be changed (resolution, quality, etc)
Overall I LOVE this laptop though and I'm glad that I bought it regardless of its flaws. The value is amazing!

All I know is that after about 15 minutes using the computer on the
first day I got it, it turned itself off and now will not turn back on.
Not a good sign. A big fat disappointment.
It probably would be a good computer - if I could turn it on and use it.
Hard Disk Failure on brand new laptop
I noticed that the laptop was taking a while to boot the first time
I used it. I assumed this was due to some initial software updates or
some such thing. But when it was consistently taking a while to boot, I
ran the diagnostics on the hard drive, it continued till it was 14%
complete and then stopped and gave the error, hard disk failure,
replace hard disk ! This after I got delivery of the laptop and was
trying to use it as is on the second day, with no new software or
hardware added. I was thoroughly disappointed and have lost all faith
in HP and their products. If this is the kind of reliability they offer
on their products, how can one trust their offerings? Though HP offered
to replace the hard disk, (which I would have had to install myself), I
chose to return the laptop to Amazon, who graciously took it back.
